The E-M10 III from 2017 was the entry point to the OM-D line, carrying a 16.1MP Live MOS sensor with 4-stop IBIS, a 2.36MP EVF, and Wi-Fi in a 410g body. No 4K, no weather sealing, no mic port. The screen was a tilting touchscreen rather than fully articulated. It competed with the Panasonic G85 and GX85 but without 4K it was already behind the curve at launch. Used copies are plentiful and cheap. It replaces the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II. It has been succeeded by the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV. At 410g, this is one of the lightest M43 bodies available, 128g below the M43 average of 538g. Step up to the OM System OM-3 if you want more controls at the cost of 4g extra.
Best for: Handheld and low-light photography
Pros
- 4-stop IBIS for handheld stability
